Privacy policy
This policy covers the Margen website, getmargen.app, and its waitlist. The Margen app will have its own policy, published before it launches.

What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address;
- the answers you pick in the form: your Boox model, where you'd like your notes to go (including any other apps you type in), and what you mostly write;
- when you signed up and when you last updated your answers.
That is all the form stores. We don't ask for your name, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to serve the page, block abuse and check the form isn't submitted by a bot. We also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.

We will not sell your data or share it with advertisers, and we will not email you about anything other than Margen.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the waitlist database, runs the bot check (Turnstile) and provides the visit counts (Web Analytics).
- Resend sends our emails, from its EU (Ireland) region.
Both are US companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until 12 months after Margen launches publicly, then delete it. If you leave the list sooner, we delete your entry straight away.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your data, or to stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time; that doesn't affect anything we did before. To leave the waitlist, use the link in any email from us, or write to hello@getmargen.app. We answer within one month.
If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority, in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use the data you've already given us, we'll email you first.
