How do I send Boox notes to Notion as text?

Short answer: Boox doesn't sync notes to Notion. Convert the handwriting on the tablet and paste it, or attach the PDF to a Notion page (which keeps the ink, but Notion can't search it).
If you write in Margen and use Claude, there's a third way: Claude reads your handwritten notes through Margen and writes them into Notion through Notion's own connector. A direct Margen to Notion sync is next on our list.
Option 1: convert on the Boox and paste
- In Boox Notes, select the handwriting with the lasso and use the recognition option, or export the note as text.
- Fix what came out wrong (names, numbers, abbreviations).
- Copy it to Notion: through the share sheet if you have the Notion app on the Boox, or by email or a cloud folder to your computer.
Fine for a page now and then. Built-in recognition reads stroke by stroke, so messy or mixed-language handwriting needs correcting (why).
Option 2: attach the PDF
Export or sync the notebook as a PDF and drop it into a Notion page. You keep the handwriting exactly as written, which is good for sketches. But it's an image: Notion's search won't find the words in it, and it doesn't update when you add pages.
Option 3: Margen + Claude + Notion
Margen is a notes app for Boox tablets that transcribes every page you write with a vision model. If you connect both Margen and Notion to Claude, Claude can move notes between them for you:
- Write in Margen on your Boox. Pages are transcribed when the tablet is online.
- In Claude, add Margen and Notion from Claude's connector directory (Customize → Connectors → Browse connectors; see the setup steps). Check which connectors your Claude plan includes.
- Ask, for example: "Take my notes from today's design review and create a Notion page in Meetings with the decisions and action items as a checklist."
Claude writes clean text instead of a raw transcription: headings, lists, checkboxes. Margen's connector is read-only, so nothing changes on your tablet; the writing happens on the Notion side with the permissions you gave Notion's connector.

Can Boox sync notes to Notion?
Not directly. Boox syncs notebooks as PDFs to the Boox cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive. To get text into Notion you convert and paste, or use an assistant that can read your notes and write to Notion.
Can Claude copy my handwritten notes into Notion?
Yes, if your notes are in Margen and both the Margen and Notion connectors are connected in Claude. Claude reads the notes through Margen and creates the Notion page through Notion's connector.
Does Margen sync to Notion?
Not directly yet. A Margen to Notion sync is the next destination we are building.
Is a PDF in Notion searchable?
A PDF of handwriting is an image, so Notion's search won't find the handwritten words in it.
